With large snowfall mere weeks before official start of spring, town convenes special committee to find out who jinxed us

The District of Kitimat has formed a special investigative committee following the weekend’s sudden intense snow storm to find out who jinxed us just eight days before the official start of spring.

“The first day of spring is March 20,” said Kitimat’s mayor. “After an amazingly mild February we were nearly in the home stretch but that dump of snow certainly caught us all off guard. Certainly someone jinxed us and we intend to find out who it was.”

A tip line has been established and already calls have been flooding in.

“My neighbour was saying not seven days ago that spring was already here,” said one caller. “He must be at least partially responsible for this.”

A number of people known to be planning driving trips to Prince George and flights to Vancouver this month are also on the committee’s watch list for potentially causing this recent winter havoc.
