Kitimat woman working up courage to purchase romance novel at book sale

Kitimat-area woman Abigail Buckley is currently working up the courage to purchase this copy of Bewitched, a romance novel with a cover featuring a shirtless man, at the Kitimat Public Library’s used book sale.

“I love these kinds of books,” she admits. “But this is the library. I go here all the time and I’m supposed to face these people after purchasing this kind of novel? I don’t know if I can do that.”

Abigail has been circling the book sale room a number of times, glancing casually at the book as she makes each pass.

“This would make a good joke gift for my sister!” Buckley said loudly, looking at the other patrons shopping. “It’s by donation, maybe I should just do this. For my sister. For a joke!”

She knows time’s running out with the book sale running to January 6, and who knows if others will be more brave than her in making that purchase.

Library staff say they are beginning to tire of Buckley’s constant running from the library while crying.
