Coaching the Lower Mainland through its ongoing snowfall warning, Kitimat offered comforting words to the Vancouver area.

“You got this,” said Kitimat. “It’s okay. Just take it slow, it’s not a problem.”

The snowfall has caused some transit delays and school closures as Environment Canada anticipates up to five centimetres of snow for the south coast.

Kitimat went through similar trying times. On December 4 1996 Kitimat experienced a 30.6 cm snowfall.

“We’ve all been there,” said Kitimat. “Just remember your breathing exercises and know that we’re all rooting for you to get through this.”
