Kitimat Council approves 23 per cent increase in defense spending

Citing security concerns, Kitimat Council has approved a 23 per cent increase in military spending.

The decision, made unanimously last week, will boost defense spending to $316 million, and will mean an additional 2 fighter jets, and 700 more ground troops.fighterskitimat

Kitimat, a town of approximately 9,000 people, is generally peaceful but analysts largely credit their bloodless history to it’s strong military.

The District of Kitimat Mayor is currently preparing for his quarterly meeting with his generals to discuss improvements to the naval fleet as well.

Leaked documents delivered to the Snow Valley Guardian also show that Kitimat has engaged in a number of combat training scenarios to prepare for a possible invasion from Terrace.
