In a startling reaction to the “___ weeks until snow” posts lingering through Facebook and social media, a mob of Kitimat residents, armed with pitchforks, have begun hunting down distributors of those images.

“Yesterday was the first day of August,” said Stanely Whit. “We don’t need this. I’m going camping next weekend and the last thing I want to see is people reminding me how close I am to Christmas carols and egg nog.”

The angry mob behind Whit pumped their fists in the sky at his words, shouting “Here, here!”

The local police have stationed armed guards at Kitimat’s snowflake sign as a precaution in case the situation escalates.
