A long awaiting connection between Vancouver City Centre Station on Translink’s Skytrain Canada Line and Kitimat’s City Centre Mall should be completed very soon.

The train, which should only take about 30 hours of travel between Vancouver’s downtown and Kitimat’s, includes a station outside of Kitimat’s mall, and cost a mere $993 million.

A Translink spokesperson says they’re thrilled to be able to offer this new connection which provides a direct line from Vancouver to Canada’s Pacific Inland Coast.

“People have asked, and we have delivered,” Translink said in a news release. “Now Kitimat residents are a mere many, many hours commute to connect with Vancouver shopping and lifestyle.”

Please note that Kitimat and Vancouver is considered 2 zone travel.
