The train, which should only take about¬†30 hours of travel between Vancouver’s downtown and Kitimat’s, includes a station outside of Kitimat’s mall, and cost a mere $993 million.

A Translink spokesperson says they’re thrilled to be able to offer this new connection which provides a direct line from Vancouver to Canada’s Pacific Inland Coast.

“People have asked, and we have delivered,” Translink said in a news release. “Now Kitimat residents are a mere many, many¬†hours commute to connect with Vancouver shopping and lifestyle.”

Please note that Kitimat and Vancouver is considered 2 zone travel.
