In spirit of April Fool’s Day, Catholic mass features reading from book of ‘What Happened” by Hillary Clinton

Taking advantage of the fact April Fool’s Day shares the day with the Sunday in Easter, the Christ the King Catholic church in Kitimat has opted to offer readings from the book of “What Happened”, detailing Hillary Clinton’s loss in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, rather than, as is usual, the Bible.

“This is my story of what happened. It’s the story of what I saw, felt, and thought during two of the most intense years I’ve ever experienced,” it was read to the gathered congregation during Sunday service.

They continued, “My friends understood how painful it would be to sit on the platform and watch Donald Trump sworn in as our next Commander in Chief. I had campaigned relentlessly to make sure that never happened…In the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit, Amen.”

While some in attendance caught on to the foolerly, many hesitantly went along with the ruse, wondering if this was some new age Catholic church service.

“After awhile I did eventually catch on,” said one church goer. “It was near the end when they previewed that next week’s reading would be from the Book of the Da Vinci Code. We did those readings last week, so obviously something was afoot.”
